The adventures of Lessia, The sun Cave.

Author: Prowler

As Lessia walked west from the sun stone she felt as if some unseen force had lifted her spirit, this was the last task needed to be preformed for the Skaal to trust her.
The rocks by the river seemed to funnel Less' to a small cave entrance, this felt wrong, a wolf howled in the distance and she knew that those beasts would kill the Skaal if the sun's power was not released from Penumbra.
Drawing the now enchanted rickling lance Lessia ran as fast as her Khajit legs could go, it was only a short sprint into the cave but from all sides of the forest the black wolfs came, one sank its teeth into her snow-white armour only to be impaled by the lance. Both let out a cry and Lessia fell into the dark, cold caverns of Penumbra.
The wolf's dared not enter the frozen caven...it was as if they knew something. Patching up the wound her Khajit eyes became accustomed to the darkness, even so it was very hard to see, in the shrowd a pair of red eyes appeared...and moved towards her.

The undead Draugr mindlessly charged onto the enchanted lance, its magic seared the Draugr's tar-like fleash and it fell to the icy floor dead.

Lessia watched it fall, through the ice floor a light could be seen faintly glowing, it had to be the trapped energy of the sun as there was no other source of light.

Feeling her way along the cold walls, slipping ever deeper into Penumbra only the occational sound of a skewared Draugr broke the deathly silence, that is untill a glimmer caught Lessia's emerald green eyes. Above her she saw the corpse of the first Draugr to get slain and in front of her the large siluet of a huge Ghral!

After emitting a percing cry that echoed through the frozen caven the massive Ghral charged down the tunnel towards a terrified Lessia, her left hand droped the lance as her right reached for the small Dwarfen crossbow straped around her back...A poisoned arrow impaled the Ghral's neck, yet still it ploughed into Lessia, knocking her hard against the cave wall. Now the poison's affects began to show, the huge Ghral slumped to the floor, blood oozing out of its mouth and eyes.

The ice glistened around Lessia's immobile body, her quick, shallow breathing could be seen it the cold. She was too close to fail now! She had suvived too much to die here, now!

Pulling herself upright she slowly staggered to the glowing object. Using the last of her Khajit strength to pick away the ice she fell to the floor. The suns light burst from its frozen prison and flooded the dark caven, its warmth filled Solstheim once more.

The damage the Ghral caused could now be seen through her armour...silence followed.

Lessia awoke in the Skaal village, the shaman had bandaged up her wounds and was now talking to Cheif Heart-fang. For an outsider she had done well...
