New Expansion

British gaming mags PC Gamer and PC Zone have spilled the beans on a new Oblivion expansion titled The Shivering Isles.

The new content will let players explore The Isles, which are divided into northern/southern areas titled (not too invitingly) Mania and Dementia, respectively. Players will be able to reach the Shivering Isles through a door on an island that appears in Niben Bay near Bravil.
The expansion will extend Oblivion's gameplay for another 30+ hours, and includes new quests, creatures, and dungeons. One new quest involves solving a mystery in a town on the Mania/Dementia border, where every citizen has a look-a-like. Among the new monsters are the Gatekeeper, a collection of bodyparts that have been stitched together, and the Knights of the Order, made up of tree roots.
Oblivion's first expansion, Knights of the Nine, was released November 22, 2006 for PC and Xbox 360. So far, The Shivering Isles has only been announced for PC, but with a little fairy magic the 360 and upcoming PlayStation 3 versions will get to vacation in the Isles as well. The expansion is currently set for a Q2 2007 release. |

Oblivion given the new rating of mature

Oblivion has been given the new rating of mature by ESRB. The rating was formally teen 13+, but with the re-classification to Mature, this makes the age rating 17+. This change is due to the increase of gore and violence than was thought to exist with the initial review, as well as some kind of ingame unsuitable content that can be unlocked with a hack. Retailers are already updating their computer systems to make sure cashiers check for ID when oblivion is purchased and Bethseda are releasing a patch to block the unsuitable content. Here at oblivion online we will be able to help you get your copy of oblivion up and running as soon as the game is released. If your having computer problems, crashes, errors or need advice upgrading your PC the Oblivion Online staff team and frequent members will be able to help.
We will provide as much support as we can and you can often find forums a quicker route to help than the official support area. Not only that but oblivion online will help with mod installation and if there is a expansion pack - we'll help with any problems on there.
Then once everything is up and running - we can give you gamplay help, tips, hints and guides too!

Collectors Edition revelaed

Bethseda have finally released some details on the collectors box set. The set includes a bonus DVD filled with concept art, renders, and screens. Even better, the DVD includes a substantial "making-of" documentary letting you in on what it was like for Bethesda to create a new world.
The collectors edition also includes a Septim coin, the official currence of the region (its apparently very realistic). The set also includes 112-page "Pocket Guide to the Empire," full of history, lore, and other juicy details on the Elder Scrolls world.
You also get the usual game manual, the game on DVD(supprise supprise).

14 new screenshots

I have had a chance to update the screenshot gallery - which to be honest was long overdue. I addeed 14 screenshots which we were missing. I also had a *spring clean* and re-orgonised the albums as both pc and xbox 360 screenshots were misplaced in the oppisite catagory.
