There is one I know of... On the PS2, an adventure game. Its a horrible excuse for a game, and i'd not recommend it on anyone. Really, its bad.

I can post a segment of chapter one of the original dune book here next time i'm on if anyone wants me to.

I didn't find it tedious, to be honest, though I guess I can understand why you might say so.

It disapointed me almost as much as lord of the rings, you get people who rave about both series but i can honestly say i dont have a clue why! its just both authors are so deranged and deluded to come up with something so......crazy.

I guess its just something you either get or you don't get. Personally, I find the books great, and every time i've read them, I have found something new about them to enjoy.

What age were you when you tried reading them? Not trying to make short of you in any way, or trying to draw comparisons. Its just that while you might be someone who will never appreciate this type of literary work, it may be a case you will come to appreciate it later.

For instance, to use an example, I used to love the Monty Python movies with the exception of The Meaning of Life, though when I watched it again last year, I loved it.

Im not saying i think the idea of the book is bad becuase the storyline rivals lord of the rings in many ways. its just the way its written.

Ill read it again in 5 years and tell you what i think of it then Very Happy
