Wait.... I looked Here and found Oblivion will be released the same date it was scheduled. I think that either take 2 and bethsoft are playing a prank (the more ridiculous idea) or the released date was pushed back for European releases. All of the websites you are pulling up Show European Websites, but I checked several websites for Oblivion release dates. So. Why not place an international order? I am oblivious (forgive the pun) to and if Europeans use a different kind of credit system (Something like visa or credit card numbers) than America. Try to find a site that ships internationally. Don't get me wrong, but I know I wouldn't want to wait that long after I've waited a year, but I have heard plenty of UK friends of mine buying off of sites like Buy.com . You may have to pay a shiny shilling for shipping, but either pay a little extra or wait another 6-7 monthts for a game you've waited for over a year for.
