If you still need the bear pelts you can buy some in village called
Hackdirt it is directly between chorrol and skingrad about half way.
there is a shop called Moslin's dry goods

but were are the bears

Hm. I think you may have to wait quite some time to find bears in the wilderness then.

Is there any possibility you'd do other guilds until you were a good deal higher? Like maybe 15-20 kind of thing (possibly) or alternatively, keeping them guilds for a seperate character later?

I'd personally recommend doing a character specific for fighter, and one specifically for mages.

i wanted my main charecotr to be the champ of all the guilds but some i found quite tricky - especially the thieves guild as the missions were a lot harder due to my crap sneak skill

so far im grand mage, arena champ, and on the last mission of thieves guild (grand heist one) and havent had to do any annoying side mission s to get back in any one guilds good books

think ill do the fighters next and then the dark brotherhood cos ive heard the brotherhood might get me expelled from the mages guild (although im arch mage so maybe not!)

so just be in the fighters guild , but if u r in the fighter and mages guild it will work with each other

im lvl 8 now an i keep gettin xpelled 4 no reason ny ideas wy???

There seems to be a ingame bug kicking people out the fighters guild, or people are triggering some event without knowing. I seen loads of complaints like this.

well im level 11 and just killed my first bear - so you havent got long to go

if you then become arch mage - find one bear - kill it - put the belt in the magic box in the mages tower and wait a day - bingo! - 20 bear pelts!

i didnt even steal from them though an its always on the mission were you have to fnd fighters guild jobs

are you sure you didnt steal from a charector that has some connection to the guild?

i accidently pickpocketed a mage cos i was ins sneak mode when i went to talk to him and it kicked me out of the mages guild?

maybe you did something similar?
