i feel this mission really beat me which hadnt happened in the game till this point. should have known to actually hunt around the area for them - stupidly assumed they were in the ice

I looked around the area, walked in a full circle around the place trying to see anything noteworthy. Only thing I noticed was the outcropping rocks near the ice, and the tree branch that led upwards near it, too. Not the one that leads directly to it, but on the outskirt of the ice.

you mean the tree branch that you use to get onto the rock to see the encased mage?

or is there one ive missed that leads somewhere?

Theres another tree branch other than the one that leads to the ice, where your journal is updated. It doesn't lead anywhere, but in my clutching straws state, I had hopes.

Edit:I have been trying to find them. I got four, so thinking that i'd get some type of reward for that, and him ask me to find the last whatever amount, I returned to the Leyawin mages guild. But instead he gave me some potions to assist me, so I am returning to try find the last however many. Last one, i'd assume.

hey zilla - did it myself last night. i luckilly have a suit of armour which helps negate the frost effect and gives you more time.

from my memory there were four on the ice itslef which i presume youve found and the other one was on the ice bit in the middle itself quite near the treetrunk you use to climb up to it

is this the one youre missing? hope that helps mate

I know I found one near the where the guy was frozen, and I guess three on the ground around the ice, i'll take a proper look again tonight, thanks.

no probs - i dont remeber any of them being tricky to find - just give it a goo look and im sure youll find them. havent gone to the guy yet to receive the award - but i think i read elsewhere the reward is crap anyway

This last one is annoying me. I go through the potions, but still don't find it. What i'll do is come back to it with some enchanted item to resist frost.
