It'll feel like a backward step, but it'd be worthwhile, in the sense of having more knowledge of the Elder Scrolls Universe.

that will be in about 6 months time i reckon tho - cant get enough of it at the moment!

certain things appeal to me though about morrorwind - apparently you can have werewolfs etc and some of the missions sounded like a laugh

also i hope more games like this come out on the 360 - feels good to get a decent rpg on the xbox - never really took to fable to be honest

My firm advice to you is do not get used to fast travel. If you do, you will really hate Morrowind. Travel from place to place can take ages, and you really have to plan your journeys in the game.

And i'm talking serious here.

i rarely fast travel actually cos i normally like to kill and pillage on the way to places, and also thats how ive found the vast majority of the dungeons in the game

wouldnt ahve got the umbra sword i doubt if id fast travelled

Only when you are used to something else... I didn't mind it in Morrowind for the first, hm... 10 characters I played with... But after that, gah, it started to get pretty annoying.

i can see that. half the fun of oblivion is buggering about on the way to misssions i find - so i reckon it would have been like that in morrorwind too

like you said earlier - just makes you plan your routes better while on missions to cut out having to travel all the way back for something

Theres a lot of means of travel in Morrowind. Silt striders, boats, mages guild offer travel to all other mages guilds...

There are dungeon type places- the Morrowind of Ayelid buildings... They are ancient Dunmer buildings which if you get the index can teleport you between seperate dungeons too.

I never managed to find any, and didn't want to use a walkthrough to find them.

why spend £50 on the game to then play it like paint by numbers?

Heh heh... The only thing I ever did was if I was getting stuck on one particular enemy for too long, as in, he kept killing me... And I was starting to lose patience... I would lower the difficulty slider a tiny bit temporarily, and return it immediately afterwards.

But that was only to maintain my sanity.

finished it after about a year tho - very proud of that - one of the hardest games ive played in ages

thankfully - that umbra sword women was the toughest enemy ive had yet in oblivion - but im about to reach the next level up so the enemies iwll get harder i imagine (although so does the loot!!)

Umbra is the hardest enemy i've faught in the game, no doubt in my mind. Woah, that was some amount of reloading.

I want to play Ninja Gaiden sometime too. I'd get NGB, not the original though.

get black just for the improved camera to be honest - great game

and with umbra the only thing i found difficult was the amount of health i was loosing. she was so fast it was hard to avoid her but between stell arrows and my mages ice shock stick she went down quite quick i thought - i just worried that id die before she did!

lucky i had like 5 potions of health on me (used all of them i think!)

Sadly you cannot conjure more than one creature at a time: even if you are a level 100. However, there is an item called the Sanguine Rose. It's a staff that conjures a random creature when it hits the target. So you can hit them with the staff, then conjure your own creature. And if you really want some mayhem, there's another staff called the skull of corruption that copies an enemy. so hit them with sanguine rose, then the skull of corruption, then summon a monster.
