thats pretty sound a PC. as long as you have it on lowest settings i wouldnt have thought there would be too many problems (the occasional crash etc, what we've come to expect from Oblivion)
Have you made sure theres no problem witht the disc like scratches?

On the arrow of extrication quest i cant find how the passage on the east wall, in the dungeon, i cant find a way into the wizards dungeon. Do you know what i mean?

i am also having exactly the same problem... except it doesnt "crash" as such it just minimizes to desktop, my specs are

2.4ghz intel celeron
windows xp
512mb ram
nvidia geforce fx 5200 (sh*te... i know lol)

also... if you wouldnt mind answering me this, when the player has purchased a house, how can it be furnished? is there a proper way or do ya just buy items en then drop items in?[/quote]

I can tell you problem right now, you only have 512mb ram, the games minimum is a gig....upgrade ram=no problems...

I must be unusually lucky, oblivion has never crashed on me once...

Wow my specs are pentium 4 2.8, used to be 512 ram and a radeon x800xl, it ran meduim settings all right with that now got 1 gb ram and run on hiest settings! so dont know why people with better comps have problems...!.!>?

I just got the game yesterday, and all was well until I loaded it up today to find that my character was stuck moving to the left.
I tried all my game saves, but it was the same in each one.
I tried reinstalling, but it had no effect, and persisted in a new game.
I tried starting the game without my keyboard attached, but the problem persists.

Any ideas? I can't even play the game...

Umm... I have a problem. I stopped playing oblivion for maybe half an hour or 45 min. I tried to start again and now my character is eternally doing the sidestep to the right. HELP ME! I can move to the left, move forward at a right slant, move backward at a right slant, and look around my character. It's not my keyboard that's the problem, I'm sure. And I've reinstalled it twice. PLEASE HELP ME! I NEED TO PLAY OBLIVION, IT'S LIKE CRACK FOR WHITE SUBURBAN KIDS! HELP ME PLEASE!

I having trouble at the begining of the game. I can create the character physically face hair and all but when it asks if I want to be a a imperial or whatever that is it. It cuts the the dungeon without me being able to pck my skills or birthsign. So when the emperor asks my birthsign it says nothing so I am stuck in the beginingI have reinstalled erased everything and it always does the same. No mods added to it. have two different copies of oblivion and both the same. Played it before and it was fine. Help cuz I am stumped.

When i am playing oblivion, these big diamond shaped exclamation points keep popping up in various places and if you walk through them you will fall off the game and wont be able to progress any further.These things prevent me from making any real progress as they are located a lot of the time in the caves.Can someone please help me?

got two questions, sort of..

Oblivion question: my video card drivers? crash when most spells are seen or cast by my guy on my PC vertion of Oblivion, my (sort of) question is, how do I make a mod that makes all spell effects invisable or at least replaces them with a basic one for each, object, enchated item, and actor effects, I know very little about the construction sets but if you can't make a simple reply then maybe you could point me in the right way to find a tutorial that might help.

Morrowind question: I want to make a full convertion mod but the few blank master data files I can find never explain how to really start from scrach, again I guess I'm looking for a tutorial that might help eather make my own master file or a mod that can make the morrowind (+both expan) into my own blank world, and then how to add the animations and world or cell scripts to make it all run

anyways, I'm always willing to learn so a very indepth tutorial would be great, if you know of any, I've been looking but I just can't find any that match one of the two questions I have here, the oblivion thing is kind of the top thing though, because I really want to play since I can now use oldblivion to run it on my PC, and please don't say buy a better video card, if cash wasn't the problem I would only have the morrowind question lol
