Ok, so, if you have joined the Dark Brotherhood, like me, and you are as far as......... Actuallly, i'll just reitierate if you don't want to know anything about the quests, look away now, but if you want to help read on.
















Anyway, Jauffre, and the pretending to kill him quest... I don't want to start the main quest, so I hadn't gone near him yet. Though when I talk to him, he only will talk about Martin. Now, I went to Kvatch to find Martin, and found him in the Chapel. But... He will not leave till the gate is closed, and all can leave safely.

So does that mean, I absolutely have to have the gate closed before I can continue the Dark Brotherhood quest, or is there some way I can get around it? I'm in college now, and in hindsight, i'm thinking of going and just attacking him without talking to him about it.

Please, someone be on this quest with something to give me.

This just in: This thread can be locked, because I found out at another forum I was mistaken as to the identity of who I have to kill. It is not Jauffre, but instead its "someone else."

Yeah, I was about to say that you do not kill Jauffree in any of the Dark Brotherhood quests.

Edit: You can complete all the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Fighters Guild, and Mages Guild quests before the main quest.

when i was closing the gate in the kvatch tis is wat i did. when i got in the room where that orb/switch/thing is i just ran past the 10 monsters and activated that switch/orb/thing
