As well as making a new topic in this forum, please post the buggy quest here, this way we can see if there are re-occuring errors across oblivion.

We can email this to Bethseda too, may help them patch...

I've been trying to complete the quest for Clavicus Vile, the Daedra. I've tried turning in Umbra (which I REALLY don't want to do), acquiring Umbra but refusing to turn it in, and just refusing to fight for Umbra and therefore refusing to give Vile the sword. All result in the same thing: about 10 seconds after I speak with Vile for what should be the last time, the game freezes and I'm forced to reboot. My only course is to forego the ending altogether. This is the last Daedra quest that I have to finish before Mora though, and my only reason for starting these quests was for Mora's reward. Several hours wasted! Any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem with the Clavius Vile quest. Theres no way you can get away from talking to him after. The thing that seems to be freezinf it is when you give back the dog pelt thing and it gets put back onto the statue. I hope they fix this problem soon.

They damn well better fix the Clavius Vile quest for the 360 as well. If they only put the patch out for the PC version I'm returning my copy of it.

PLaying the PC version and on the fighters guild. Just completed the forsaken mine quest, given orayn the guild masters son's journal and completed the quest, he says he better be the one to tell the guild master of her sons death but he just walks to his house and then never comes out, i cant get onto the next quest which i know is looking for some stone given to me by azzan in anvil (looked this up). The quest shows in my inventory as being completed but it wont move onto the next storyline :S

I have enetered the console command to complete the forsaken mine quest but still nothing, there are no outstanding contracts that i havent done, this is really frustrating Sad

I am having trouble on the xbox 360 in the fighters guild quest Mystery at Harlun's watch.

It appears that the body I am supposed to find is not there even though the green arrow points to where it should be. I have killed the willo the wisps and the trolls and then it says to search for evidence. I find and search the skeletons but no body and the quest will not move on...

i have stolen the ring from the countess of the southern most town leyawhatever for the thieves guild but every time i go to adharji to give her the ring my conversation cannot get any farther than the argonian who tried to sell it back and is now in jail; i have both rings and i am stuck with this quest and i can't figure out what to do, i am wondering if it has anythign to do with the fact that my quest updates are in the wrong order because i stole the ring and then went to talk to her about the argonian(amusei)
