I'm kinda new at the game, but everytime I try practicing some speechcraft, it seems to force me to use all 4 forms of persuasion.....i.e.: Joke, Admire, Coercion and Soasting.....

How do I stop the process after only applying the charisma tactics that I WANT to use?

The idea behind it is this.

You have to use all 4 each 'turn.'

When thye are most happy you want to be pressing that quarter with the biggest yellow filled quadrent you can. and when most angry you want the one with no yellow in it.

Yeah, the wheel turns in a clockwise motion.. so you have to anticipate when the smallest colored pieces will be on the actions which will make the NPC dislike you, and the biggest pieces on the actions which will make the NPC like you.

You have to use all 4 quadrants. Just use as little as possible in the ones they don't like, and as much as possible in the ones they do like. Practice on ordinary people (no merchants or people relevant to the story) and you'll figure it out.

and if u want to up your speech craft, just go to a guard (some one who it doesnt matter whether or not they like you) and just click every one around in a circle, doesnt matter which quarter you choose, and your speechcraft will go up alot.
