God I loved that game DK2 I gave it away to a friends son and been trying too get it back since.

The sold out version has the patch in and crashes all the bloody time shame!

Landstalker was a cool game never saw much from it or the developers again though.

Very Happy I haven't played D&D on the computer, but like Wolfie I played it from the books. In fact; it was the FIRST RPG I got involved with and was where Ruble originated! (My miniaturized, medieval Darth Vader! A BAD little dude!) Althazar was orginally a Warhammer RP char. Wink

I always wanted to play from a book, but I could never find one. Sad Can you name a decent one?

Wink Find TSR or Dungeons and Dragons online and look for the book called the "Player's Guide" or maybe "Players Handbook" -something like that (that's the one that you will DEFINITELY need; as it tells you how to go about char creation and sets out the various rules of the game.) All of the others are optional (like expansions or additions to MW). They each add some additional element to the game, but they aren't REALLY necessary. Once you have the "Players Guide" then you can get a few of the mods (comic book size booklets with specific adventures in them). After you've played a few of those you can start coming up with your own dungeons and storylines. The REST of your problem will be finding a group of gamers in your area. The Internet might be able to help you out with THAT too! Wink btw If they talk about LIVE ACTION- AVOID THEM! THEY ARE NUTS! D&D should NEVER be played ANYWHERE BUT ON PAPER AND IN THE MIND AS A FANTASY! Also: If you find yourself starting to actually CARE about your char- QUIT PLAYING RIGHT THEN AND THERE!

...The reason Prowler should stop playing Morrowind, he's practically in LOVE with Lessia! Laughing

However, in D&D THERE IS NO SAVE BUTTON! Once your char gets killed, they are just as dead as a real person! No GM will let you use THAT char again! You have to create a new one and start over again with low level adventures until you build them up (and THAt is a SSSLLOOWW process!)
But, the biggest danger is that there are SOME people (only a FEW-luckily) but SOME; who get VERY attached to their char and the fantasies and just totally LOSE IT when the char eventually gets killed!

Or even become suicidal! There ARE some people who just SHOULD NOT play fantasy games!

I played D&D a couple of times. It's fun when you're drunk and have a really good narrator. But if your narrator sucks, your game sucks. That new D&D Stormreach or something looks like a WOW knockoff.
