Ok, ive never been a role play game fan, but i thought id listen to the guy in the store and give it a go. And what an awesome game oblivion is! But just a few things? what happens at the end, is there an end? Can you max out every skill known to man? or can you still wonder around Cyrodill and cause chaos or chat up the locals.?Is there a certain number of people in this little world so you could technically hunt every person in the game and wipe them out? ive just completed the arena game, and now fight every week againts animals. I havnt met any bad ass bosses! ive closed one oblivion gate. cured my vamirism, im a member of the blades, fighters and mages guild. Where can i buy a spell to summon a faided wrath? i need to conjure one infront of this dude whos gonna teach me more conjuration skills, phew! thats it if anyone could answers those questions, that would be swell!

well, there isnt really an end in a sense, at least of the whole game. THeres the end of the main quest, but yes, you can still wander around, the game goes on forever.

anyway you cant complete the game by killing loads of people as main quest characters cant be killed only knocked out. also are you really gonna kill a man whi oyu just spent 100 quests completing a quest to protect him
p.s (im on about the emperors son by the way)

It would take a unimaginable ammount of time to get all the quests completed, the map explored, the caves and dungions explored, EVERY quest complete and all skills leveled as much as possible. Even further, owning all the properties, furnishing them, making a fortune....

It does indeed go on forever.

It ends when you want it to end,

Yes you can max out on every skill but it takes some planning, also you need to ensure that you max out on your last skill at the same time as you hit your max level. If you don't the flaming system won't let you level up any further - it just gives you some blurb about how perfect you are.

Note that you'll almost always have to level up on luck every time as you can't get multiples on that one, so you only get two others to get multiple hits. To make it harder you can't burn many skill increases, this makes choosing what you do at the start of the game one hell of a challenge as skills increase very quickly. To make it slightly easier get a custom character and choose luck (and endurance) as key attributes.

If you want a challenge try playing it with a newby character at max. difficulty - sort of makes fighting hard and two hits from a mud crab wipes you out.

Investing in stores, collecting armour, finding locations, wayshrines, doomstones, guild quests, random adventuring, weapon collecting, hunting trips, buying homes, furnishing homes, talking to all the npcs, reading all the books, putting dead bodies into amusing positions, free running, skinny dipping, pick-pocketing shopkeepers, raising a bounty to a million +, pretending to be a mudcrab... I could go on. Oblivion is a truly amazing game, it's going to be hard to even think you've done all there is to do.
